I decided to try a different subject, while keeping with my 4 rules for my paintings (Colorful; Reflections; Dramatic Perspective; Vintage Emotion), and I really liked how my wife’s button tin, handed down from her grandmother captured all those things. I wanted to put a little of myself into this painting and substituted one of the buttons for the military button from my Navy Dress White Uniform.
